Working at a private doctors office will mean you get to have a regular schedule from nine to five and have weekends off. Working in the emergency room will mean that your schedule will change from week to week and you may even have to work on weekends and holidays.
There are upsides as well as downsides to any working environment. Working in an emergency room means that you will get the chance to save lives. Working in a doctors office means you will not see many emergencies but you will have the chance to help keep the patients healthy.
A nurse that works in an emergency room has to deal with the fact that patients may die. Some people have a harder time dealing with death than others do. Nurses in a doctors office do not see many patients die like in the emergency room.
